(c) OPNAVINST 4790.4C Ship Material and Maintenance Manual (3M) (d) NAVSHIPS Technical Manual (NSTM) Chapter 510 (e) Applicable ships drawings and Damage Control Book (f) COMNAVAIRFORCES Ventilation Manual TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1. Objective: The contractor shall provide classroom and hands on Ventilation Awareness training to Damage Control Petty officers onboard CVN 67 in accordance with ref?s (a) through (f) 2. Task Description/Technical Specifications: a. Provide Ventilation Maintenance Awareness Training to Damage Control Petty Officer?s (DCPO?s) for habitability concerns, quality of air, and ventilation systems overview in accordance with ref?s (d) through (f) b. Training to consist of classroom and hands on training: 1. Classroom training should be @ 2 hours long with no more than 25 students per class. Training should focus on Identification of vent systems, routine maintenance required, basic troubleshooting techniques, impact of dirty of improperly configured systems and show common problems encountered on CV/CVN?s in accordance with ref?s (d) through (f). Each student should receive handouts containing all material covered during classroom training. Training to be conducted onboard CVN 67 while pier side in Mayport, Florida. Underway requirements while not normal, may be required. 2. Hands on training should show students actual shipboard systems (outside Propulsion Plants) as related to the classroom training. Selected students should be required to identify the following systems and components: 1. Plenums 2. Exhaust Systems 3. Supply Systems 4. Re-circ Systems 5. Fan motors and Fan rooms 6. Thermostats 7. Diffusers 8. Cooling Coils 9. Filters 10. Quick Acting Access Covers 11. Pre-heaters & Re-heaters 3.TASK START DATE: 7 March, 2005 WITH COMPLETION ON 14 March 2005. 4.Products/Deliverables:The following products/deliverables shall be submitted as stated below. Upon submittal of each deliverable product, a Task Action Memorandum (TAM) shall be submitted to SUPSHIP Newport News, VA Code 1832. a. A final report detailing the results of the visit. Product Brief: Final Report Hull No.: CV 67 Number of Copies: One 5. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/INFORMATON: None 6. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: a. Deliverable products must conspicuously display the following Distribution Statement on first pages and/or cover letters: ?Distribution authorized to DoD and DoD contractors only; Administrative and Operational Use (date of issue). Other U.S. requests shall be referred to SUPSHIP Newport News, VA.? b. Obvious and/or probable problems are to be documented and forwarded to SUPSHIP Newport News, VA for resolution. All products, documentation, data files, masters for products / reports, etc., developed to support this task are the property of to SUPSHIP Newport News, VA and shall be turned over upon request.
