- Description
- The intent of this solicitation and any resultant contract is to obtain services for up to three (3) Type II or III helicopters, fully operated and equipped to meet specificaitons for use in administration and protection of Public Lands. The aircraft will be utilized as Rappel Platforms. The bases of operation will be located in Eastern and Northeastern Oregon at the following rappel bases: Sled Springs, Frazier, and John Day. The awarded contracts wlil be for one base year with two renewable options. The aircraft will be made available for the exclusive use of the Government during the availability period. The availability periods are: Sled Springs - 107 days, Frazier - 110 days, and John Day - 105 days). It is anticipated that all Mandatory Availability Periods will begin June 2, 2005. The helicopters furnished will be used for fire initial attack and support missions and for other administrative flights as assigned. It may also be used for law enforcement flights. All documetns will be posted to www.fedbizopps.gov for download from this web site. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued approximately February 17, 2005.
