Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice for Laundry Services. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), Pittsburgh, PA is conducting market research to identify businesses capable of providing laundry services to the three (3) divisions of VAPHS (University Drive located at University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240; Highland Drive located at 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206; and H. J. Heinz Division located at 1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15240). Businesses must have the ability to provide laundry services for each VAPHS division for the following estimated annual quantities (soiled pounds): University Drive: General linen - 1,037,020 lbs., OR/Surgery - 249,872 lbs., Mops (wet/dust) - 58,780 lbs., Uniforms - 1,750 lbs. and Patient Clothing - 1,200 lbs. Highland Drive: General linen - 500,802 lbs., Mops (wet/dust) - 23,760 lbs., Uniforms - 1,040 lbs., and Patient Clothing - 23,180 lbs. H.J. Heinz: General linen - 92,747 lbs., Mops (wet/dust) - 42,520 lbs., Uniforms - 124 lbs., and Patient Clothing - 26,915 lbs. Services shall include pick-up and delivery five (5) times per week (Monday - Friday) and a turn-around time of twenty-four (24) hours.
