Description
The following questions and answers are provided: 1. Are Elevators available? No, there are no elevators available. These are troop barracks with 3 floors. All steps and stairways are on the outside of the buildings. 2. This move consists of how many barracks and how many rooms per floor? So far, there are 31 buildings (See Scope of Work for number of wings per building and number of rooms per wing). There are 12 rooms per wing (4 on each floor, 3 floors). 3. How many showers per floor? There is 1 (one) bathroom per room with one shower per bathroom. 4. Will the contractor be required to furnish storage space Yes, the contractor will be required to furnish storage space, (see para C.5.21 of Scope of Work for details). 5. What size are the wall lockers and dressers? The size of the Wall lockers are: 75 high  24 deep  31 wide. The size of the dressers are: 32 high  19 deep  31 wide 6. What is the time factor for this project? This project for the 31 buildings in TE 2 will be 14 months, which will be during the deployment of the troops. But it could be longer or changed due to the war and when the units will return; or if we have to make room for other units coming in, i.e., Na tional Guard, Reserve or other active units from other locations. 7. How close to the barracks can a truck get? The trucks and trailers can get as close as 50 feet from the building. 8. How regularly do we get paid? You are paid once per month. 9. Is there an advance that is paid for the initial stages of the contract? No, there is no advance payment. 10. Are we responsible for accommodation of our employees? Yes, you will be responsible for all accommodations for employees. 11. What is the duration of the project? Are we needed (or do we work) certain days of the week? The duration of the project will be for 1 base year and 2 optional years. You will be required to work as required in Section C.1.5. Hours of Operations. Normal hours of operations will be 0730 thru 1600 hours daily. Contractor may need to work after 16 00 hours and/or weekends and holidays in order to meet Government requirements. 12. When we place our bid, do we bid for the entire duration of the contract? Meaning that once you place a bid and its accepted, there can be no other request for additional funds? Yes, you will prepare your bid for the entire duration of the contract.
