Description
The U.S. Army, TACOM-ARDEC, on behalf of the Office of PM Soldier Weapons, has interest in procuring a magazine pouch, to be included as a component of a Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Kit. A Bid Sample of 15 each is to be submitted along with a technical proposal, at no cost to the Government. An initial base quantity of 50 magazine pouches will be procured, to be delivered within 30 days of contract award. Four (4) options are planned with ranges from a minimum quantity of 4,000 each to a maximum quantity of 10,000 each per option. The magazine pouch attaches to the buttstock of either the M16 rifle or theM4 carbine, without the use of tools. It provides a readily accessible ammunition source in the form of a low profile, easily stowable, non-intrusive storage pouch. Additionally, the magazine pouch shall be capable of holding a single 30 round M16 magazine in either vertical or horizontal positions. All responses to this notice are due no later than 22 February 2005. Correspondence by email is preferred. The item is envisioned to be a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) non- developmental item (NDI). The item must currently be in production at the contractor?s site, developmental items are neither permitted nor desired. The magazine pouch must be black or olive drab in color and capable of attaching to the Soldier?s web gear. The contractor must be able to sustain a delivery schedule of 833 magazine pouches per month. See Note 1.
