- Description
- The U.S. Army, TACOM, on behalf of the Office of PM Soldier Weapons, has interest in procuring a forward rail bracket, to be included as a component of a Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Kit. A Bid Sample of 15 each is to be submitted along with a technical proposal, at no cost to the Government. An initial base quantity of 50 forward rail brackets will be procured, to be delivered within 30 days of contract award. Four (4) Options are planned with ranges from a minimum quantity of 4,000 each to a maximum quantity of 10,000 each per option. The forward rail bracket attaches to non modular M16 rifle/M4 carbine and provides the user with the ability to attach forward pistol grips, bipod, and flashlights. The item is envisioned to be a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) non- developmental item (NDI). The item must currently be in production at the contractor?s site, developmental items are neither permitted nor desired. The item must be configured to MIL-STD-1913. The item shall be dull and non reflective. The contractor must be able to sustain a delivery schedule of 833 forward rail brackets per month. See Note 1.
