- Description
- The Alaska District Corps of Engineers intends to specify proprietary and/or sole source equipment and systems for the Direct Digital Control of the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The Fort Wainwright Alaska (FWA) DDC System ut ilizes a networked Honeywell ENTERPRISE Buildings Integrator (EBI) system as the supervising station control unit. The DDC panel installed in the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, and the connections from the DDC panel to the existing supervising station contr ol unit must be compatible with and must provide intelligent communications with the existing supervising station. The system must permit full monitoring and full control of all devices from the existing supervising station. The DDC equipment installed and connected shall be fully compatible with, and capable of fully communicating with, the existing Honeywell ENTERPRISE Buildings Integrator (EBI) system that currently serves Ft. Wainwright; and must have the following salient features: a. Addressable control of indicating output circuits. b. The panel shall monitor and control analog information for each control and monitoring device. c. The DDC system shall permit adjustments to control devices from the Central Station. d. Intelligent communications with the existing supervising station, permitting full monitoring and full control of all devices from the supervising station. e. Central system programming for the existing Central Station, which includes graphical user interface allowing the user to view the status of a selected location in the building, a selected system, and a selected device, and to adjust settings of adjust able devices. f. The installed system shall also provide secondary back-up remote communication via modem and dedicated phone line. g. The system must also be suitable for the following additional future functions: lighting and energy usage monitoring, control and monitoring of building access, control and monitoring of building security, asset locator, and video surveillance. Installation of an additional, parallel system consisting of a new supervising station and panels will not meet the governments needs. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in the form of a letter and s tandard marketing material describing how the equipment or system is compatible with the installed supervising station control unit. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all submittals received within 45 days after the date of p ublication will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete the system requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considere d solely for the purpose of determining whether to compete the requirement.
