- Description
- This notice hereby supercedes solicitation number HSCG40-04-Q-60015. The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for various Detroit Diesel engine replacement parts to support Detroit Diesel Model No. 12V71 used as an air compressor drive on the 140WTGBs and Detroit Diesel Model No. 6V-92-TA, used as main propulsion engines on the 47 Ft. MLB Coast Guard vessels. All parts shall be new and shall be manufactured by or for Detroit Diesel Corporation. Brand name is mandatory. The U.S. Coast Guard intends to incorporate the Detroit Diesel Parts Price Schedule into the contract. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to Receiving Room, U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. All items shall be delivered within 120 calendar days from issuance of delivery order. A requirements contract, consisting of one (1) base year and four (4) option years is anticipated. It is the Government's belief that only Detroit Diesel Corporation and/or their authorized distributors can furnish the required replacement parts and ensure the proper form, fit and function of all it's components. Concerns were given the opportunity to submit their capabilities to furnish the above items in the Sources Sought Notice posted on FedBizOpps on 14 January 2004. All responsible sources may submit their quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. Request For Proposal (RFP) Number HSCG40-05-R-60004 shall be available for download from FedBizOpps (www.eps.gov) on or about 13 December 2004. This date is estimated at best. The closing date for receipt of proposals is contingent upon the release of the RFP package, but is estimated to be 15 January 2005 at 2:00 p.m. EST. See Numbered Notes 12, 22. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(2). NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (09-NOV-2004).
