- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the following commercial items: Item 0001: Type IV Tank for deicing fluid type IV or equal item. Item 0002: Type IV Pump for deicing fluid type IV or equal item. Item 0003: Fittings for Tank - fluid type IV or equal item. Item 0004: Hoses. Item 0005: Fittings for tanks and trucks Item 0006: Installation and Training on use of Type IV Tank and Pump for deicing fluid type in accordance with the Statement of Work. Statement of Work Type IV Dispensing and Storage Tank Scope: The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, Contractor's equipment, supplies, transportation, supervision and inspection required to perform all the work described below. Location/Site Visits: Contactor will be able to conduct a site visit on Thursday February 17, 2005 This project is located at the Pennsylvania Air National Guard Base, 171st ARW, Pittsburgh International Airport, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108-4217. Site visit will be 1:00 PM Thursday February 17, 2005 and can be arranged by contacting the 171st Base Contracting at (412) 474-7685 to confirm your firms wish to attend site visit. General Requirements: Furnish and install a Type IV Dispensing and Storage Tank. Principle Elements of Work: Contractor shall furnish and install a Type IV Dispensing and Storage Tank. 1. Contractor shall furnish all the following components and install said components on Type IV Dispensing and Storage Tank A. Item 0001 Type IV Tank 6500 gallon double wall tank, HDLPE construction 1.9 primary 1.5 secondary containment (115-120% containment complies with 40 CFR-264.193). 120 DIA. X 198.50 HT. 18 Manway. (1) 4 vent / PVC schedule 40 construction Top. ( 1) 2 Inlet (fill) Top (For Flow Sensor). (1) 3 outlet Bottom + Elbow for inner tank. B. Item 0002 Type IV Pump- Stainless Steel construction 316L. Delivers up to 0-250 gpm (Shear Sensitive). Gas delivery system 22 HP Vanguard Gas V engine (Electrical Start). Steel Construction Lock Box. Internal Relief Valve S/S 316L. Inlet (1) Neg ative Gauge / Discharge (1) Positive Pressure Gauge. Positive Displacement Mark IV 3 Pump ( Internal components are designed fro TYPE IV material- Shear Sensitive. (2) 3 inlet (2) 3 discharge. (4) 316L S/S Full Port Valves. 12 Volt 900 amp cold star t battery. (1) Set of Oil Filter/ Air Filter and oil. Internal Cabinet Light Kit. Remote Stop Option. C. Item 0003 Fittings for Tank (2) 3 Full Port S/S 316L Valve. (1) 3 T . (2) CLS NPT Fitting S/S 316L D. Item 0004 Hoses (3) 3 Hoses 3 x 20 Male x Male S/S 316L (2) 2 Hoses 2 x 20 Male x Male S/S 316L E. Item 0005 Fittings for Tank and Trucks (5) 3 Female QRC x Male Fittings NPT. (6) 2 Female QRC x Male Fittings NPT. 2 S/S 316L Full Port Valve F. Item 0006 Installation and Training 2. Contractor will test and inspect Type IV Dispensing and Storage Tank for proper operation in accordance with and conformity to the technical standards in SAE AMS 1428D [Society of Automotive Engineers Aerospace Material Specifications Fluid, Aircraft Deicing/Anti-Icing, Non-Newtonian, (Pseudoplastic), SAE Types Ii, Iii, and Iv]. As part of final acceptance of product; fluid from new tank will be tested at Government facilities to see that once liquid is pumped from the tank liquid still conforms to SA E AMS 1428D. Items are required within90 Days ARO, and FOB Destination is Required . This Synopsis and Solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.106, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcem ent constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ).
