Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Project No. G10909-2012(1)B, Mekusukey Roadway II, for the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, Seminole County, Oklahoma involves constructing a new bridge, as well as performing associated grading, drainage, paving and incidental construction for the new bridge structure and roadway approaches. The proposed bridge is approximately 0.02 miles (108 feet) in length. The associated roadway approaches are approximately 0.27 miles (1,430-feet). Major tasks associated with constructing the project include the following: Clearing and grubbing, erosion control, excavation, removal of small structures, placement/compaction of fill material, aggregate base, and asphaltic concrete pavement, drainage earthwork, bridge construction, signing, seeding, sodding, planting of selected vegetation, and striping. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Request bid documents on or after February 7, 2005, to Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Oklahoma Regional Office, P. O. Box 8002, Muskogee, Oklahoma 74402-8002, and the request should be accompanied with a $50.00 (non-refundable) cashiers check or money order made payable to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Cash, Personal or Company Checks will not be accepted. Bid opening will be held on March 10, 2005, at 10:30 A.M., Local time at the place of bid opening, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Oklahoma Region 3100 W. Peak Boulevard, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Drawings may be viewed at the following locations: Southwest Construction News, 7170 S. Braden Avenue, Suite 180, Tulsa, OK 74126; F. W. Dodge Division, 5100 E. Skelly Drive, Tulsa, OK 74135-6552; Bid News, 5727 S. Garnett Road, Suite H, Tulsa, OK 74146, and Division of Transportation, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Oklahoma Region, 3100 W. Peak Boulevard, Muskogee, Oklahoma, on or after February 7, 2005. This solicitation is a Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is not set aside for HUBZone. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Section 7(b) of Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C 450e) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native Economic Enterprises. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 11:00 A.M., February 15, 2005, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Oklahoma Region, 3100 W. Peak Boulevard, Muskogee, Oklahoma 74402-8002. Bidders not attending the Pre-Bid Conference will not have access to the Solicitation document. There will be no other scheduled Pre-Bid Conference and all interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the conference. The prevailing wage rates for Seminole County, Oklahoma, will be made a part of this Solicitation and a 20% Bid Bond is to accompany the Bid document.
