Description
NASA/ARC has a requirement for NASA/ARC has a requirement for One (1) Sixteen (16) Channel Acoustic Measurement System. The system, with the appropriate ?? Condenser Microphone 200V, ?? microphone preamplifier, microphone extension cable (30m, lemo), 8-channel microphone preamplifier power, and Pistonphone, shall be capable of operating over the entire frequency range of 2 Hz to 20 KHz. The system, with appropriate calibrator, shall be capable of applying a known standard calibration source to each channel. All of the analog voltage outputs shall be made available for signal amplification, filtering and/or digitization and monitoring as required by the customer?s data acquisition system. NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from Bruel & Kjaer of Norcross, Georgia based on the system?s unique ability to be compatible and integrated with existing B& K equipment in order to complete the current stage of the research program. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 02/24/2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
