Description
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. This is not a Request for Proposal. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Th e Survivability/Lethality Analysis Directorate (SLAD) of the U. S. Army Research Laboratory (USARL), is conducting market research in support of is its mission to provide survivability/lethality analysis of U. S. Army weapon systems and other programs. Th e information provided by interested parties will enable ARL/SLAD to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required to develop and manufacture an arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) subsystem. This AWG subsystem is envisioned as a possible component which may be integrated into existing electronic countermeasures systems both ground based and airborne. A previous survey of commercial off the shelf (COTS) arbitrary waveform generators reveals commercial ly offered units are laboratory grade instruments directed to the test community and are not suitable for integration into existing systems. Preliminary requirements for the AWG are as follows: Prime Power: 12.0 to 28.0 VDC, ? 1.0VDC; Desired number of digital to analog converter bits: 12; Desired Sample Rate: 500MHz; Waveform Memory: 10M words desired, the waveform memory must be capable of maintaining waveform data independently of prime power. The AWG must have the capability of zeroing waveform me mory via command or logic control input; Controller: Supervisory processor to control waveform down loading, waveform output enable, and other functions; Output impedance: 50ohms; Output voltage: programmable, with the following ranges: TBD; Output filt ering: Low pass anti alias filter, cut off frequency dependent upon final sample rate; Operating temperature range: 0 to 70C; Data interface: High speed such as USB, Ethernet, etc. Large and Small Businesses are encouraged to submit product information, pertinent details, capabilities and experience related to the stated requirement via email to bgerace@arl.army.mil.
