Description

USACE, Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District proposes to issue a sole source award to Instron Corporation, 100 Royall Street, Canton, MA 02021-1089 for the maintenance and repair of an Instron Model 4208 SN 3537. All equipment parts must be mechani cally compatible with Model 4208 SN 3537, and include integration of the Instron electro-servo control package. This package consists of a Controller Unit and Data Acquisition Controller System, which allow the following tests to be conducted in various c ombinations: 1. Rock Mechanics  Direct Shear, Fracture Toughness, Indirect Tension, Uniaxial Compression 2. Uniaxial Pavement: Flexural Fatigue, Indirect Tensile Creep, Resilient Modulus, Poissons Ratio and Strength, Indirect Tension, Bending Beam Fati gue 3. Concrete: Compression, Concrete Direct Tension, Indirect Tensile Splitting, PCC Slab Test. A firm-fixed price award will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any other responsible source able to provide the requirement is encourag ed to respond to this announcement within 10 days after its publication.
