- Eglin Air Force Base, Valparaiso, Florida is seeking sources to provide Graduate Engineering and Research Services in accordance with the following information: The contractor shall provide facility and full-time faculty and staff of sufficient size and experience to provide course work, counseling, supervision, and administration as necessary for Masters and Ph.D degrees in aerospace, electrical, systems engineering and engineering mechanics. Faculty for curriculum development, instruction, supervising theses/dissertations shall include, but not limited to, the following areas: a. systems engineering, b. Both static and dynamic computational modeling of very complex aircraft/weapon configurations, c. Mechanical and physical properties of material, d. Modern control and estimation for tactical missiles, e. Improved target acceleration models, improved target-tracking algorithms, advanced guidance laws, and robust autopilots, f. Electromagnetic and optics technology for seekers and sensor, g. Testing target classification and identification algorithms, h. Image processing techniques for digital target displays, i. Warhead design and testing techniques, j. Analysis and modeling, k. Vulnerability/lethality methodology, l. New detector materials and configurations, m. Analyses of physical and digital simulation techniques, n. Modeling and simulation, o. Radar acquisition/tracking to support test/development activities. Curriculum of no fewer than 50 off-the-shelf courses to include directed study, supervised research, masters proposal, masters project, dissertation study. Resident faculty should lead more than half of the 50 courses and adjunct professors can teach the remaining courses. Course schedule will accommodate both daytime and evening students.
