A firm fixed-price Requirements type commercial contract is contemplated with one basic year and 4 (four) one year options for repair of F108 Bleed Valve Fuel Gear Motor. Line Item 0001: TESTING. NOUN: F108 Bleed Valve Fuel Gear Motor Input NSN 3010-01-141-5947PN, P/N: 301-774-703-0 and/or 396800-6; NSN: 3010-01-229-1008PN, P/N: 301-774-704-0 and/or 396800-7; NSN: 3010-01-367-2917PN, P/N: 301-774-705-0 and/or 396800-8. Output NSN: 3010-01-367-2917PN, P/N: 301-774-705-0 and/or 396800-8. BEQ as follows: 7 EA Basic Year; 15 EA OPT I; 18 EA OPT II; 15 EA OPT III; 15 EA OPT IV. Line Item 0002: REPAIR. BEQ as follows: 7 EA Basic Year; 14 EA OPT I; 17 EA OPT II; 14 EA OPT III; 14 EA OPT IV. Applicable to: CFM56-2B/F108 Engine. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3032. Description: The F108 Bleed Valve Fuel Gear Motor is made from aluminum housings, stainless steel fittings, rubber and composite piece parts. Dimensions are: weight is dry 4.45 lbs, height 4.7 inches, depth 4.9 inches, and length 3.5 inches. Function: The fuel gear motor controls the position of engine bleed valves. The fuel gear motor is a positive displacement gear driven by high pressure fuel. It consists of two spur gears operating on needle bearings. Carbon seals provide sealing at the drive shaft. A secondary lip seal is mounted on the output shaft for further sealing. Delivery: 4 EA per month Basic Year; 4 EA per month OPT I; 5 EA per month OPT II; 4 EA per month OPT III; 4 EA per month OPT IV. Quantities shall be in any combination of Line Items 0001, 0002, 0003. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Qualification requirements are available for this acquisition. These qualification requirements apply to all line item(s). The approximate solicitation issue date is 02 MAR 2005 and the estimated solicitation response date will be 16 MAR 2005. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government.
