Description: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7 (Alaska) intends to award a sole source procurement to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game to provide continued monitoring by the Division of Wildlife Conservation of movements and distribution of the Fortymile, Nelchina, and Mentasta caribou herds in Game Managment Units 12 and 20E. This information will be used to ensure the effectiveness of mandates, regulations, and harvest quotas in place for the Federal and State subsistence hunts. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 15 days after publication of this notice. See numbered note 22.
