- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7 (Alaska) intends to award a sole source procurement to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game to support three separate Interior Alaska cooperative moose plan projects of which two are continuing projects, and one involves revisiting an existing plan. These projects are as follows: To address increasing competition for moose in Unit 21E, and to take a proactive course in preventing a major decline in the moose population. To conduct follow-up activities for the Central Kuskokwim Moose Management Plan of Units 19A & 19B. The goal of this project is to review the plan and develop recommendations for consideration during the 2006 regulatory cycle. Review and complete evaluation of the Koyukuk River Moose Management Plan, including a discussion of changes that may be needed to reflect changing circumstances. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 15 days after publication of this notice. See numbered note 22.
