- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service has a requirement for road construction/reconstruction. The successful offeror will provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools, supervision, including safety and other incidentals necessary to perform all road construction and reconstruction activities within the boundaries of the Pisgah Ranger District located primarily in Transylvania, Henderson, Buncombe and Haywood Counties, North Carolina, including all road turnarounds, drainage structures or other road related activities. The work consists of construction and reconstruction activities associated with gravel and native-material surfaced single and double lane roads, parking lots, soil and water restoration, facility grounds and other related activities. The resulting indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order contract will be for one year with one option year. The solicitation will be a best value, negotiated procurement. Past performance, capacity including type and availability of equipment and price will be evaluation factors considered in the selection of the successful offeror. Each task order issued against the contract will not exceed $25,000. The size standard for this unrestricted solicitation, pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, is $28.5 million under NAICS code 237310. The solicitation should be available on this web site on or about December 22, 2004. There will be a pre-proposal conference. Details will be included in the solicitation. Offerors are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to attend the pre-proposal conference. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings.
