Description
This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Part 12 and 13). 45 CONS/LGCB has a requirement for 2 each: Outboard Propulsion Units, Deckmounted. Each unit shall fit within the existing barge engine well. This dimension is 82.5” wide and 72” long. Units shall be powered by commercially available diesel engines, four cycle, fresh water cooled with 125 degree Fahrenheit radiator, and a minimum continuous duty rating of 150 Horse Power (HP). Stem length shall be 80”. Propeller shall be heavy duty, 3 blade construction with minimum diameter of 44”, minimum pitch of 21”and a maximum propeller speed of 435 RPM at rated engine speed. Fuel system shall include Coast Guard approved fuel lines, primary and secondary filters, plus a separate fuel water separator. Units shall be equipped with a 120 gallon double walled auxiliary fuel tank in addition to the units internal tank. These items will be delivered to Patrick AFB, FL, Building 822 between 7:30AM and 3:30PM. Required delivery is not later than 20 May 2005. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. FA2521-05-R-0022 is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3621, and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 335312 with a size standard of 1000 employees. GSA Schedule holders for this item/service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 18 Feb 2005 at www.eps.gov . Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-5136), or e-mail.
