Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm-fixed price sole source contract with EDO MTech Inc., 1458 County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006-1811 production of the BRU-55/A Bomb Rack. This effort also includes design, development, fabrication, test and evaluation of the BRU-55A/A on the F/A-18E/F aircraft. The U.S. Navy will procure approximately 380 BRU-55/A Aircraft Bomb Ejector Racks units over a three year period as well as the supplies, services and technical analysis required to support integration of BRU-55/A on F/A-18E/F aircraft and flight test scenarios. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: EDO MTECH is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of BRU-55 and the only known firm to possess the technical expertise required to manufacturer the BRU-55 and relay assemblies to meet the requirements time line. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
