Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Philadelphia Division intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis with Jeppesen Government Services, Inc., of Englewood, CO, for airport runway analysis for the C-20D, C-20G, C-37, C-9A, C-9B, DC-9 and C-130 series aircraft. This runway analysis is also known as Special Departure Procedures (SPDs) and is aircraft specific procedures and routings that will give USN aircraft special engine out departure guidance that provides maximum terrain clearance. The services will be provided for the Commander Naval Reserve Forces Command. The contractor shall perform high-level commercial runway analysis and engine-out turn procedures in order to enhance the USN’s ability to effectively perform and conduct SDPs. The contractor will be tasked to assist the USN in their efforts to develop SDPs that will ensure the Navy is meeting current regulatory guidance for departure planning. It is anticipated that the contract will contain a basic twelve-month period of performance plus two (2) twelve-month option periods. This procurement will be issued pursuant to the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There will be no reimbursement or compensation provided for responding to this announcement.
