Description
The general scope of work requires the contractor to supply all materials, labor, supervision and means required to complete all work in strict accordance with plans and specifications provided by the Government. The project entails construction of a 39,060 SF, two story, masonry and steel building. The building will include administrative offices, classrooms, locker rooms, kitchen facilities, storage areas, weapon arms vault and rest room facilities. Exterior support facilities include: sidewalks , security lighting, flag pole, detached facility sign and anti-terrorism/force protection measures such as bollards. The performance period is 480 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is given. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is between 5 and 10 million dollars. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the bid price is required. The IFB is scheduled for issue on or about March 1, 2005, with a due date o f on or around April 5, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. local time. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for March 24, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. Interested parties should report to Building T-851 located at Fort Drum, NY. Due to increased security measures at the site, those pl anning to attend the pre-bid meeting should e-mail the names of personnel attending to Mark.Walsh@ny.ngb.army.mil not later than March 22, 2005. Plans and specifications may be obtained via written request to: USPFO-NY, ATTN: MNPF-PC, 330 Old Niskayuna Rd ., Latham, NY 12110-2224. Requests for plans and specifications must contain the full firm name and physical address, phone, fax number, company point of contact to include e-mail address. A non-refundable, certified check or money order in the amount of $50.00, made payable to the U.S. Treasury must accompany each request for plans and specifications. Un-certified company checks will not be considered and returned without action. The plans and specifications for this project will be distributed via CD- ROM; hard copies will not be available. The proposed contract is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns.
