Description
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS BEING PUBLISHED FOR SUBCONTRACTING PURPOSES ONLY. The Army is soliciting proposals from contract awardees under the Sets, Kits and Outfits Solicitation DAAE20-02-R-0193, Segment 3, Specialized Tool Kits. The estimated issue date is June 10, 2004. The contract awardees are as follows: 1. W.W. Grainger Inc., 100 Grainger Parkway, Lake Forest, IL 60045, 2. Daniel's Manufacturing Corp., 526 Thorpe Road, Orlando, FL 32824, and 3. Kipper Tool Co., 2375 Murphy Blvd., Front Dock Door, Ga inesville, GA 30504. It is anticipated that this action will result in a firm fixed price delivery order for one prototype. The EOD Heavy Supplemental Tool Kit will be transported most commonly by small truck and in some instances may be hand carried long distances or parts of the kit may be taken on trips without the truck. The description for purchase will be displayed as Attachment 34 under solicitation DAAE20-02-R-0193 on the TACOM-RI Open Solicitation Website at https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. The rest of the solicitation will be provided to the contractors mentioned above only. The kit consists of several injection molded plastic cases and several cloth bags which all carry a specified portion of the kit. In addition, the kit will contain specialized components such as a handheld portable explosive/narcotics/chemical detector, wireless video inspection equipment, a vehicle projected water disruptor, an explosive trepanning tool, an improvised explosive device disposal water disruptor, an x-ray upgrade kit, disruptor fluid, and a chemical detection kit.
