NA This announcement is being published for subcontracting purposes only. The Army is soliciting proposals from contract awardees under the Sets, Kits and Outfits Solicitation DAAE20-02-R-0193, Segment 1, Mechanical Maintenance Tool Kits for the TOOL SET, AIR CRAFT ARMAMENT REPAIRMAN, INDIVIDUAL and the TOOL SET, AIRCRAFT ARMAMENT REPAIRMAN, TEAM. The estimated issue date is November 19, 2003. The contract awardees are as follows: 1. W.W. Grainger Inc., 100 Grainger Parkway, Lake Forest, IL 60045, 2. Daniel' s Manufacturing Corp., 526 Thorpe Road, Orlando, FL 32824, and 3. Kipper Tool Co., 870 Grove St., Gainesville, GA 30501, Danaher Tool Group, EASCO Hand Tools, Inc., 110011 McCormick Dr., Ste. 150, Hunt Valley, MD 21031, Americas Place Quad Cities USA, 601 5 93rd Ave., Ct., W., Taylor Ridge, IL 61284-9576, and Snap-on Industrial, P.O. Box 1410, Kenosha, WI 53141-1410. The components of the tool sets will be specified in Descriptions for Purchase provided to the contractors listed above. It is anticipated th at this procurement will result in two firm fixed price, nine year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Delivery Contracts with a minimum quantity of 50 each for the TOOL SET, AIRCRAFT ARMAMENT REPAIRMAN, INDIVIDUAL. The minimum quantity on the TOOL SE T, AIRCRAFT ARMAMENT REPAIRMAN, TEAM has not yet been determined. It is not necessary that both tool sets be awarded to the same award pool contractor under Segment 1. The Aircraft Armament Repair, Individual Tool Set is specifically organized to provide the aviation armament repairman the tools needed to maintain and repair aircraft armament. The general design and layout of the tool kit has been specified to the degree that is required to assure that the kit serves the daily life style and work needs of the individual repairman. The mission may include repair and maintenance of weapon systems utilized by rotary wing aircraft such as the Blackhawk, Apache, and Kiowa helicopters. The kit consists of a tool chest with a hinged lid and a set of various m aintainer type hand tools contained in dedicated foam cutouts in various removable drawers. The usual operating procedure will be to transport the chest to the work site, open it, remove the tools on an as required basis and replace the tool in its specifi ed location when the maintenance task is completed The Aircraft Armament Repair, Team Tool Set will provide maintainer type tools designed to supplement the Aircraft Armament Repair, Individual Tool Set. The general design and layout of the tool set has been specified to the degree that is required to ass ure that the set serves the daily life style and work needs of the repair teams. The mission may include repair and maintenance of weapon systems utilized by rotary wing aircraft such as the Blackhawk, Apache, and Kiowa helicopters. None-the-less, the se t is simple but organized in a way to support the needs of the users. The set consists of a tool chest with a hinged lid and a set of various maintainer type hand tools contained in various removable trays in specific foam cutouts.
