Description
Request for Information – Laboratory and Medical Supplies/Equipment The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is implementing a strategic sourcing program to increase efficiencies and drive savings across its operating and staff divisions. As part of this strategic sourcing initiative, a Request for Information (RFI) is being issued to aid in the identification of firms who have the capabilities to provide Laboratory & Medical Supplies/Equipment to DHHS. DHHS plans to acquire these Laboratory & Medical Supplies/Equipment from current General Services Administration (GSA) Medical Equipment and Supplies, Invitro Diagnostics, Reagents, Test Kits/Test Sets, and Chemistry, Biochemistry, Clinical Instruments, General Purpose Laboratory Instruments and Services Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) holders. To respond to this RFI, a firm must hold a current FSS that includes Special Item Numbers 65 II A, 66 II N, and 65 VII. This RFI seeks information from FSS holders that can demonstrate that they have the resources and capabilities to best support all or part of this requirement. Given the complexity and size of this requirement, DHHS strongly encourages small business participation either individually or as a joint venture team, consortium, or similar arrangement. DHHS will use the information obtained from this RFI and other market research techniques to identify GSA FSS holders who possess the capability, either solely or through a subcontract/teaming arrangement, to provide the required Laboratory & Medical Supplies/Equipment to the broad range of geographically dispersed DHHS organizations. For more information, please review the synopsis in full and the attached RFI documents (Excel workbook). NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (14-FEB-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
