Description

Engines for fire preparedness activities; Three or Four TYPE 4 Engines each with a crew of 3; Each crew shall include one ENGB, Engine Boss, and two FF2, Fire Fighters; Duty station for daily reporting of two of the engines will be at the Tiller Ranger Station; Duty station for daily reporting of the third and possibly fourth engine will be at the North Umpqua Ranger Station; This is an indefinite quantity type contract; Estimated usage for each duty station is a period of 45-120 eight (8)-hour days, minimum 45 days per duty station and maximum 120 days per duty station; Estimated to start in early July and continue into the fall of 2005; Offers will be considered for Type 6 Engines with a crew of 2 (one ENGB and one FF2) if award of type 4 Engine is not feasible; Prospective offerors and specific equipment offered must be covered under a current USDA, Forest Service, National or Pacific Northwest Regional, Interagency Emergency Equipment Rental Agreement (EERA) for Engines and Tenders for Wildland Fire Suppression; This is a Request For Proposals; Offerors are required to complete a questionnaire including equipment descriptions, personnel experience, and past performance information; award evaluation criteria include equipment and personnel capability, past performance history and knowledge of local area conditions where work will be performed, in addition to price; Option to be included for 2 additional operational periods through 2007; NAICS 115310; See Note 1.
