- Description
- The project will consist of the construction of an estimated 9,200 feet of low height berms containing an estimated 15,800 cubic yards of Class C earthen fill. Borrow areas for the earthen fill will be clearly designated creating shallow water pools within the bermed areas. Additional micro-depressions (6 to 12 inches deep) will be constructed by excavating a total of 6,500 cubic yards of soil from various locations within the boundary of the project. Other items included in the project are the installation of three inline-water-control structures with 10-inch diameter PVC conduits and approximately 89 acres of lowland grass seeding. Construction equipment needed includes dozers, earthmovers, backhoe, sheepsfoot roller (or other acceptable compaction equipment), and compaction equipment for pipe installations. The solicitation (Request of Quotations) will be available at http://fedbizopps.gov on or about March 3, 2005. This solicitation is unrestricted and is not set-aside for small business concerns. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration can be accomplished at the CCR website: http://www.ccr.gov. Range of Cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance time is 40 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed.
