- Description
- The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), plans to procure the services for Analysis of Cytokines from Human and Mouse samples, including those that define T helper 1 and T helper 2 cells and proinflammatory response. The supplies and services herein are commercial as defined in FAR Part 2, and this acquisition is being made in accordance with the test program for using commercial items as authorized in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 621511 and the business size standard is $11.5M. Introduction: The National Cancer Institute requires a standardized, sensitive analysis of secreted cytokine gene expression in both sera and tissue culture supernatants. The two major class of cytokines for which analysis is required include 1) the cytokines characterizing a T cell TH1/TH2 response and 2) cytokines whose expression is consistent with a proinflammatory response. Specific and Mandatory Requirements: MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: a. The TH1/TH2 cytokine set must include but is not limited to Interferon-gamma, IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, IL-13. The procedure for this analysis may include bead or fluorescence based assays. Alternate proposals that describe other types of approaches will be considered and b. The proinflammatory cytokine set for human samples must include but is not limited to TNFalpha, IL-1 beta, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12 (p70), IL-12 (p40). The proinflammatory cytokine set for mouse samples must include but is not limited to TNFalpha, IL-1 beta, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12 (p70), IL-12 (p40). The procedure for this analysis may include bead or fluorescence based assays. Alternate proposals that describe other types of approaches will be considered. Contract Award: This requirement may result in possibly two contract awards, one being awarded to a CLIA certified laboratory and one possibly to a non-CLIA certified laboratory. Anticipated Period of Performance: Base Year: April 15, 2005 ? April 14, 2006 with two option periods. Solicitation: The RFQ must be requested by electronic mail or by fax.
