Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Highland Drive Campus, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 intends to negotiate with Yamazen, Inc., 975 Bassett Road, Westlake, OH 44145 on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 for the purchase of the Sodick Plustech Injection Molding Machine consisting of air ejectory circuit with solenoid, core pull circuit with solenoid, production count monitoring package, three color machine cycle status/alarm signal light, demo machine discount, mold temperature controller, hot air hopper dryer for material including resin loader, hopper and startup material. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333220. Firms who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide an alternate system which will meet the capabilities and functionality described above may notify the Contracting Officer in writing, no later than 4:00 PM on 2/25/05. Such notification must include a complete description of proposed equipment, including narrative and specifications, and must demonstrate that it meets or exceeds the capabilities described above. Notification shall be mailed to Cheryl Weidner (04A1-H), Contracting Officer, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
