Description

DESC: 1005-01-396-4038, Part Number 12956142, The item to procure is a Buffer Recoil Mechanism. The solicitation will be a 5-year Requirements with estimated yearly quanities of 4,000 - 5,000 a year. FOB is Destination. For use on the M5 Shouldered Gun Stock. Estimated issue date is 02MAR2005. First Article, Phosphate Coating, and Precision Machining are required. This solicitation is restricted to 8a firms. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: h ttp://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bi d opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of the same. The Technical Data Package for this solicitation and any resulting contract includes documents that are proprietary to FN Harerstal, SA. Disclosure and use of the TDP are restricted by the Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement that the offeror will executed prior to receipt of the TDP. A TDP will not be provided as part of the solicitation. To obtain a copy of the TDP, a prospective offer or must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. After signature, the Non-Disclosure Agreement should be faxed to (309) 782-1616, ATTN: Kathy Warner. After receipt of the Non-Disclosure Agreement a copy of the TDP will be mailed by regular mail. The Non-Disclos ure Agreement will be posted to the Internet as an attachment to the solicitation. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY05 requirement.
