Description

The US Postal Service NY Facilities Service Office is seeking to prequalify General Contractors for an indefinite quantity of fixed-price contracts for repair & alteration, & new construction projects within the Metro NY area. Projects would have a min contract amount of $100,000 and a max of $1,500,000. Contractual requirements, construction cost and performance time for each project will vary. Prequalification will be in effect for 5 yrs max. You must meet 3 min requirements to apply: (1) Your firm must be within one of the following Counties, and you must be able to work on projects anywhere within this area: in NJ: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, Warren, Ocean; in NY: Bklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, SI, Nassau, Suffolk, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, Westchester. (2) Your company must have been in business, under firm?s present name, for min of 5 consecutive yrs. (3) You must provide proof of bonding with a min aggregate amt of $3,000,000. Interested firms that meet the min requirements must submit Qualification Statement.. To obtain Qualification Statement package, submit request by MAIL to: USPS-NYFSO, Attn: Frances Elshahat, 2 Hudson Place, Hoboken NJ 07030-5502. Packages will be mailed after 2/15/05. Completed Statements are due by 3/15/05. Firms will be notified within 60 days of due date. Being pre-qualified does not guarantee you will be awarded a contract. You will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred in developing your Qualification Statement.
