Description

Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command are hosting a Design Build (DB) Government /Industry Forum 9 March 2005 at the Embassy Suites Charleston Convention Center, 5055 International Blvd., North Charleston, SC 29414. All current DB providers are invited. It is anticipated that approximately 40 to 50 participants from industry will attend. The forum will be a one-day event that will include the full spectrum of DB providers as well as key government representatives in the DB program and acquisition functions. The goal of the forum is to identify ways we, as a partnership, can develop process efficiencies that will reduce construction duration, while achieving greater profitability for each of us. The forum will concentrate on Request for Proposal (RFP) Development, Proposal Submission, Post-Award Design and Post-Award Construction. Discussion of specific contract actions or procurements in progress will be limited, as needed, to appropriately preserve procurement integrity and business sensitive information. Otherwise, we welcome an open exchange, and we are very interested in having you participate and share your views. Due to space constraints, attendance will be limited, so we are requesting that no more than two participants from your firm attend. Also, priority for attending will first be given to those organizations currently under large multiple award contracts with Southern Division NAVFAC, and other contractors will be considered on a space availability basis.
