Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION, OR INVITATION TO BID NOTICE. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). The US General Services Administration (GSA) is requesting information about a business intelligence solution to support an end-to-end solution for capturing data and providing world class information management reports regarding government travel while ensuring privacy act and security requirements are met. This includes the consolidation of data, reporting, and a business intelligence solution to support GSA?s eTravel Service Program and Department of Defense?s (DoD?s) Defense Travel System (DTS). The purpose of this RFI is to open a dialogue with industry to ensure, to the maximum extent possible, that industry input and comments are given proper and due consideration in development of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a business intelligence solution. An appropriate RFP process may follow if, and only if, both the eTravel Program Management Office (PMO) and the DTS PMO makes an acquisition decision to proceed. Please refer to the attached RFI for additional information. A non-mandatory information session will be held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST, on February 28, 2005. The location for this session is identified in the attached RFI. If you plan to attend, you must contact GSA by sending an email to onthego@gsa.gov. You will receive an acknowledgment of your registration. Vendors are recommended to provide an advance list of questions so that responses can be prepared before the meeting, resulting in a more thorough exchange of information in the time allotted.
