- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, (DHS, CBP) International Contracting Programs Branch plans to procure uniform items to support the Government of Georgia Coast Guard. DHS, CBP desires the following items: (1) nine hundred (900) sets of Yellow Rain Suits with an elastic waistband. Suit shall be marked on the back using silkscreen printing in black letters 4 centimeters tall in English and Georgian. (2) Two hundred fifty (250 each) Flotation jackets; United States Coast Guard (USCG) Approved Type III Personal Flotation Device or Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) equivalent; Color: International Orange or Yellow (Gold). Flotation Jacket shall be marked on the back using silkscreen printing in black letters 4 centimeters tall in English and Georgian. DHS, CBP must receive preliminary sample(s) of each type of uniform item requested for a first article check; they will be kept as quality control items against which the production lot will be gauged. Production of uniform items shall begin as soon as the first articles are approved by DHS, CBP with Georgian Coast Guard concurrence. DHS, CBP shall provide approval or comments within four working days of receipt of first articles. Each batch of product will be checked for quality and cleanliness upon receipt. Potential business partners will provide complete samples of all material, buttons, hardware, emblems and labels for the production if not the same as those provided in the sample items. No deviations will be accepted once the pattern submitted and agreed to by the business partner is accepted by DHS, CBP. DHS, CBP may make multiple awards as a result of this procurement. The successful business partner/contractor’s business solution/arrangement shall be evaluated and selected on the basis of low cost, technically acceptable. The successful business partner shall ship these items to a Freight Forwarder to ship the items overseas to Georgia to ensure that proper export procedures are followed. Delivery of all articles shall be no more than 60 days following approval of first article by DHS, CBP. No payments will be made until the deliveries are made. Interested business partners are encouraged to offer these items using Government Wide Acquisition Contracts/Programs such as the GSA Multiple Award Schedule Contract and the Defense Supply Center Prime Vendor Program. Request for Quotation (RFQ) HSBP1005Q0295 is scheduled to be issued on or about December 21, 2004. Samples of the emblems to be printed using silk screening will be set forth in the body of the RFQ.
