Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. Power Supply Assembly, NSN 6130-01-122-0690, is a component of the Computer Electronics Unit utilized on the M1A1 Abrams Tank. It consists of connector, input switching regulator and cable subassemblies attached to a base pl ate made of aluminum alloy. Parts are enclosed in a cover made of sheet steel, .037 thick. The part is approximately 6.0 inches long x 4.0 inches wide and 4.7 inches high and requires a nuclear hardness criticality on parts. Semiconductors designated H CI and utilized in this power supply are Hardness Critical Items. These semiconductors must be purchased from the approved sources listed in the TDP. Any alternate components must be submitted for approval and testing at White Sands Missile Range. The process of qualifying and testing such components is lengthy and may take up to a year. Proposed contract will be a firm-fixed price that will include three-100% Option years. Requirements are 30 each. Unrestricted solicitation. FOB DESTINATION. All o r part of this action is an unfunded FY05 requirement. Estimated issue date is 07 Mar 2005. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore hard copies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be is sued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of the same.
