- Description
- The Watervliet Arsenal has a requirement to rehabilitate existing HVAC system in building 115, Watervliet Arsenal, 1 Buffington Street, Watervliet, NY 12189-4000. The NAICS is 238220; the SIC is 1711 and the SBA size standard is $12,000,000 total. The FSC is Z111. The project scope of work includes: (a) direct digital controls (DDC) be provided for 3 fresh air handlers and the heat exchanger (the new DDC control system will be able to be expanded into future building automated system controlling up to 1000 points throughout building 115); (b) replacement of floor mounted fan coils.(27); (c) replacement of chilled water piping 2 ? inches diameter and less; (d) replacement of electric re-heat coils in ceiling mounted fan coil units (25); (e) new sp lit air conditioning system for the mezzanine office (3 ton); (f) new floor mounted fan coil unit to be added in room 206; (g) replacement of condensate drain piping; (h) replacement of 12 exhaust fans; (i) ceiling tiles and grids will be replaced only in the areas affected by HVAC work; (j) missing thermal insulation on the heating hot water piping will be replaced (assume 1000 LF of 3 inch diameter pipe); (k) asbestos work will include removal of pipe insulation (18LF on 4 inch diameter piping) and ceilin g tiles in 9 rooms (1388 SF). Site visit details will be included in solicitation. It is estimated that this project will cost between $500,000 and $1,000,000 total. Bid/Performance/Payment bonds will be required. Wage Determination NY030002 applies (A lbany county). Solicitation will be by sealed bid on W911PT-05-B-0001. Tentative plan as follows: issue solicitation 3/7/2005; bids due 4/7/2005; contract completion 120-150 days after award. Plans will be posted to the internet with the solicitation a nd will be available for viewing at the contracting office. Written requests for solicitation and plans must be submitted no later than 3/18/2005 to ensure plan availability to meet bid opening date.
