Description

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) intends to award on a sole-source basis, per FAR 6.302-1, a contract to Crowley Micrographics, Inc. This contract is for the monthly preventive maintenance and repair for two (2) Mekel M560 Microfiche Scanners, one (1) Mekel M565 Microfiche Scanner, and one (1) Mekel M500 Roll Film Scanner. The Mekel Microform Scanning Systems are required to support DTIC?s Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for converting the legacy technical report collection to electronic documents. The period of performance will be through 31 December 2005. Based on market research, Crowley Micrographics, Inc. is the only company that can provide the maintenance due to its proprietary license on the software.
