- Notice of Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council ? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is issuing a RFP on behalf of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council is seeking an expert to synthesize information concerning the collapse of Pacific herring populations in Prince William Sound Alaska in possible relation to the Exxon Valdez oil spill and other environmental factors. http://www.evostc.state.ak.us/pdf/restoration/injupdate02.pdf Qualified scientists should hold a Ph.D. in fisheries science or a related discipline; have achieved eminent scientist status and have published widely in at least several of the following fields of project with additional collaborative experience in others: Population biology and ecology; Fishery and conservation biology; Ecosystem management and modeling; Fish genetics ? Genomics; Toxicology ? Oil and related substances; or Pathobiology ? Viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus in wild populations. The proposal requirements and evaluation factors are included in the RFP; interested parties may register to receive notification and as an interested vendor to download the RFP from the issuing office listed above. Proposals are due on March 16, 2005 at 5:00 p.m., Alaska time. See Page 13 of the RFP for proposal submission details.
