Description
Proposed Work: Southwestern Power Administration has the following requirement: Replace three 69 kV oil circuit breakers with Government-furnished SF6 circuit breakers. Remove existing control and power cables to all 69 kV breakers except PCB 152 (7 total) and install new Government-furnished control and power cables. Perform outdoor modifications, add cables and add materials as required by the drawings. Replace eight duplex switchboard sections and two panels with seven new duplex switchboard sections and two new panels. Perform indoor modifications, add cables and add materials as required by the drawings. Modify control house doorways. Furnish and install five temporary relay racks. The contractor shall dispose of the remaining equipment removed as part of this contract except for the three 69 kV power circuit breakers. Magnitude of Construction Project: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 Location of Work: Southwestern Power Administration's Springfield Substation in Southwest Missouri. Tentative Dates: Synopsis Posted: 18 March 2005 Invitation for Bid: 4 April 2005 Bid Opening: 4 May 2005 Completion of Contract: 15 January 2006 PDF files of draft drawings will be made available Wednesday, 23 Feb 2005 by request from Contracting Officer, Diana Pickel, 918-595-6669 or diana.pickel@swpa.gov. Award is restricted to Small Business. Records for Asbestos training for Class III and IV work; records for Lead awareness training; respirator written program, fit test, medical approval and training records; negative exposure assessments - competent person documenting that the contract work is the same as the negative exposure assessment work for asbestos and lead; per State of Missouri regulations must be submitted before construction begins.
