Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO PROCURE A BUNDLED CONTRACT: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 797-NC-05-0013 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prison (BOP) requirements for Naproxen Oral Tabs. The estimated annual usage of Naproxen Oral Tabs. is as follows: 16,482 bottles of 250mg tablets in bottles of 100 each; 46,779 bottles of 250mg tablets in bottles of 500 each OR 19,962 bottles of 250mg tablets in bottles of 1000 each; 1,943 bottles of 375mg tablets in bottles of 100 each; 28,807 bottles of 375mg tablets in bottles of 500 each OR 13,773 bottles of 375mg. tablets in bottles of 1000 each; 105,661 bottles of 500mg tablets in bottles of 100 each; 128,984 bottles of 500mg tablets in bottles of 500 each OR 42,915 bottles of 500mg tablets in bottles of 1000 each. NOTE: Where there is a choice of package size as indicated by the word ?OR?, the offeror must submit a price on at least one of the two sizes indicated. Award will be made on the package size most advantageous to the Government. The estimated annual usage includes VA and DoD requirements. Estimated annual usage for IHS and BoP will be provided in the solicitation. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors (PPV). Capsules must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.) and if the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Offerors must state the exact name (name that appears on the label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. Offerors must provide bar code labeling which includes at a minimum the NDC number. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of March 23, 2005 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management?s (O&AMM) internet web site @ http://www.va.gov/o&amm/busopp/sols.htm. Offers will be due by 4:00 pm Central Standard Time on April 25, 2005. If a paper copy of this solicitation is desired please contact Susan A.
