Description
MODIFICATION TO CHANGE RESPONSE DATE FROM 18 FEB 2005 TO 4 MAR 2005. A fixed quantity, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated for National Stock Number (NSN): 2840013084466NZ; Part Number: 4070067; NOUN: Balance Segment Augmentor; Quantity: 107 or 214 or 321 EA; Required Delivery: Apr 05. Destination: Ship to FB2039; Size and Dimensions: Length: approx 11.5 inches, Width: 5.8 inches, Depth: 1.5 inches thick. Predominant Material: Titanium. Form, Fit and Function: The balance segment is a component of the Augmentor Module. The balance segment pivots with the convergent nozzle segment, counter balancing the exhaust presser and stabilizing the position of the convergent segment on the F100-229 engine. First Article is required. Specific information for First Article requirements and Waiver requirements will be listed in the solicitation. The award will be made to an approved source. Qualification requirements are available for this Part Number upon request. Qualification information can be obtained from OC-ALC/BC, Attention: Source Development Office, 3001 Staff Drive Suite 1AG85A, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3009 (405) 739-7243 or (405) 739-7244. Please note that the Government is not required to delay contract award in order to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. The Government plans to compete this requirement using lowest priced technically acceptable procedures (LPTA). The Government plans to issue a solicitation 15 days from the date of this notice. Potential offerors can obtain a copy of the solicitation from this FEDBIZOPS web site as soon as the Government has issued and posted the solicitation. To obtain required technical data, potential offerors must use TEDS at https://fedteds.gov/. The anticipated closing date of the solicitation is 45 days from the date of this notice (the exact date and time will be included in the solicitation). All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the Government. The award date is estimated to be on or about 10 Feb 05. See Government-Wide Numbered Notes 23 and 26.
