Description

The U.S. Army RDECOM-Natick Contracting, in support of the U.S. Army, has a requirement for commercially available Nylon Rope and Black Poly Pro Fabric. The Government intends for this procurement to be a commercial item acquisition utilizing Federa l Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement will be a full and open competitive buy. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 314991 size standard is 500 employees. The Government envisions a single purchase order for this acquisition (but reserves the right to award multiple purchase orders) . This procurement is for the purchase of 212 spools of Premium Nylon Rope (3 Strand s) 5/16 x 600 and Black Poly Pro Fabric 75 x 525 yds. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.102(a) , all documents associated with this acquisition will be available via the Government point of entry (GPE) http://www.fedbizopps.g ov, and via the US Army RDECOM-Natick Homepage at https://www3.natick.army.mil (go to Business Opportunities, then to Ongoing Acquisitions, then to this solicitation number). No hard copies will be provided. Firms shall not be reimbursed for any costs ass ociated with proposal preparation. It is anticipated that the request for quote (RFQ) will be release on February 18, 2005. The proposal due date will be February 25, 2005 at 12:00p.m (EST).
