- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued separate from this announcement. Solicitation DE-RQ65-05WG69013 is issued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-26. A fixed price contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Code (NAICS) is 333999 and the business size standard is 500 employees or less. COMMERCIAL ITEM SPECIFICATION MOTORIZED CART The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Customer Service Region requires: ??? 3 each ??? Motorized 3-Conductor Spacer Cart. Carts must have 18 inch Conductor Spacing and Distance Counting Devise. Inspection trolleys for 3 bundled conductors line, motorized version. Gasoline engine (4.02 HP). Condux model # CRT 160 or Equal. FOB Destination to zip code 85009, specific address shall be furnished upon award. Delivery shall be no later than March 28, 2005. The following FAR clauses/provisions are applicable to this acquisition. FAR Clause/Provisions, 52.203-3, Gratuities, 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, 52.212-2, Evaluation ??? Commercial items applies to this acquisition. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to the Government, considering price and price-related factors: Technical Specification compliance, past performance, and price. Technical specification compliance and past performance when combined are equally important when compared to price. Contractor shall submit with their offer, 2 (two) copies of product drawings and information data of product offered, in addition to at least 3 references for past performance for the intention of offer evaluation. Offerors should include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ??? Commercial Item, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items found at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/vffara.htm. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
