- Question 1: Correct dates for the conference? Answer: As listed in the notice of intent, the correct dates for the conference are 28 March 2005 thru 3 March 2005. Question 2: Equipment listed on 2/27/05 Analog Line - is this an outbound telephone line? For what application/purpose Answer: This is a House Phone/Inbound line only. Use by Conference Planners only, in the Registration area. Question 3: Equipment listed on 2/28/05 2 way radios - Particular model? Earpieces required? Minimum number of channels? Answer: No Particular model required. No earpiece required. Minimum number of channels is 22. Question 4: Plasma monitor - What size? What application(s)? Mounted on stand or table top? Cabling required? Answer: 42 inch Plasma Monitor for Presenters mounted in front of stage below the podium. Cabling is required. Question 5: Studio kit? What is this referring to? If a drum set - what size? Are sticks required? Answer: The Studio Kit refers to the Camera accessories. (Remote Focus and Zoom) With cables and connectors. Question 6: Track spot? What is this referring to? Display lighting? Stage lighting? Answer: Stage Lighting Question 7: VGA switcher - What sources are being switched? How many sources? Are video scaler capabilities required? Answer: Five sources are being switched (Camera, 2 PCs, VCR and DVD Player). Video scaler capabilities are required. Question 8: Sales for DV camera tape (3) - please clarify - Is this a duplicatio of the recorded material from the DV camera? If so, what media is being made available for sales? Answer: The DV tapes are being used as the recording media. Question 9: Can specific mics listed (i.e. Senn. 421 and/or PZM) be substituted with comparables? Answer: No Substitutes. Question 10: Equipment listed for 2/28 in Grand Ball Rm. - no main speakers are listed - only stage wedge(s). Is this an oversight? What is the application? Please clarify. Answer: Four Powered Speakers are listed on the quote for Monday. Question 11: Audio front system outlined for Barnwell/Calibogue/Danner Rm. - can it be substituted for comparable towers (3 way w/ 18 inch subs)? Answer: Yes Question 12: The Westin Resort will be providing what equipment/services - confused by following excerpt in original solicitation: The Westin Resort, through its Presentation Services Office, maintains an office and the audio visual equipment at the resort specifically designed to accommodate the conference facilities available at the resort. Answer: Audio Visual Services. Question 13: The resolution of the 2 LCD projectors is given as 1280 X 1024. What brightness in lumens is required? Answer: 5000 Lumens Question 14: DV CAM Video tape: there are 3 lengths available: 64 minutes, 124 and 184 minutes. Please indicate size. Answer: 124 Question 15: L abor for 2/28 Rehearsal: Please clarify what is meant by audiotech@1.5, when the quantity is given as 1 and 2 hours. Similarly for items 2,3 and 4 under Labor. Answer: Labor will be billed 1.5 times the normal rate for the times specified. Question 16: Technicians will be needed as per RFQ and only for the number of hours indicated? Answer: Yes Question 17: How many attendees are expected in the Grand Ballroom? Please provide the specs of the ballroom. Answer: The peak number will be approximately 500. Question 18: Are electronic bid submissions acceptable? Answer: Electronic bid submissions are an acceptable form of submitting quotes.
