Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a complete written solicitation will be provided upon request by email to: debra.mcgowan@txelli.ang.af.mil. PROJECT: TO PROVIDE ALL PARTS, MATERIALS, LABOR, TRANSPORTATION AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO PROVIDE LIGHTS, SIGN AND MARQUEE FOR AWNING ON EAST SIDE OF BUILDING 1193 PER STATEMENT OF WORK AS FOLLOWS: Lighting, Signage and Marquee at Bldg. 1193 Awning Project Number: FWJH142554 Statement of Work Provide cost proposal to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to accomplish the following items of work: Power for Lighting and Marquee Install three separate circuit breakers at electrical power panel located in mechanical room of building 1193 (mechanical room is approximately 105 LF from the canopy exit). Pull three separate circuits from mechanical room to feed new canopy lights, marq uee and marquee accent lights. Conduit for new circuits can be ran on the roof of the building. Contractor will be responsible for all necessary roof and wall penetrations, and warranty of the roof against leaking due to the new penetrations. Tremco, In c. (281-993-2589) must be used for roof repair at penetrations to maintain overall roof warranty. Installation of new circuits and conduit must be in accordance with NEC requirements. Install Lighting at Canopy Furnish and install EMT Conduit and wiring along the centerline of the canopy from the building to the end of the canopy. Install 70 Watt metal halide canopy lights (VN8-70MQH or equal) at 15 on center (at post locations) along the length of the canopy ( 9-total). Lights are to be die-cast aluminum housing in brushed aluminum finish. Lights should be sensor controlled, with a separate switch over-ride to turn the lights on or off. Install Lighting at Marquee Furnish and install two fixtures and wiring for lighting at the Marquee. Underground conduit from the building to the marquee has been installed by others. Fixtures are to be fluorescent outdoor landscape flood lighting fixtures, bronze aluminum with a c anopy (similar to Focus Industries #FOC FFL-57-120V). Sensor controlled, with a separate over-ride switch to turn lights on or off. Install Marquee Base Furnish and install base to hold Marquee. The foundation for the base is to be constructed of 3000 psi concrete with #5 rebar at 12 on center and #3 stirrups over 6 of crushed and compacted limestone base materials. The marquee base is to be constructe d of 8 concrete masonry units, reinforced with #5 bars and fully grouted. The base shall be finished with 1 stucco over the concrete masonry units. Design dimensions for the base are as per the attached drawing dated 07-Sep-04, with details equal to th ose shown on drawing dated 16-Jan-02, but adjusted to fit the size of this marquee. Provide and install 6 cast bronze aluminum lettering on the base of the marquee: 147th Fighter Wing. Lettering font is to match base standard building lettering. Lighting, Signage and Marquee at Bldg. 1193 Awning Project Number: FWJH142554 Statement of Work, continued Furnish and Install Marquee Furnish and install Marquee: Displays 4 lines of 4 Characters or 3 lines of 6 Characters or 2 lines of 9 or 1 line of 12 or 19 Characters plus graphics, animations and time/temperature information. Marquee is to be eSign Systems model number e464-4, single-sided, or equal. Installation is to include all necessary wiring and software needed to make the marquee fully operational. Underground conduit from the building to the marquee has been installed by others. Marquee is to include the wireless tran smission option, along with manufacturer services to install software and provide initial training. Signage for End of Canopy Furnish and install a painted aluminum Shield sign, overall dimensions 2 x 2, with colors and graphic per the included .gif file. Cut aluminum in the shape of the shield. Furnish additional welded aluminum bracing for mounting the shield sign as necess ary to insure proper bracing for the sign. Paint additional lettering on the end of the canvas awning cover as shown on the attached drawing. Lettering and line coloring is to match the color of the canopy posts. Lettering style is to match the base sta ndard.
