- Description
- Vessel(s) Required: U.S. or foreign flag tug and Ro/Ro barge to transport the cargo described in Box 2 below in one (1) voyage. Barge is required to have a strong ramp (not portable) capable of holding a loaded dump truck. Barge should have sides 3 to 4 ft. high. Barge deck is required to be free of obstructions (e.g., D-rings) that would prevent cargo from being loaded with a front-end loader. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 25166-25168, May 5, 2004, or most current reference), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants.
