Description
This RFP is issued as a Small Business Set Aside for the continued Outreach, Admissions for the State(s) of North Carolina. Job Corps is a National residential and non-residential training and employment program administered by the Department of Labor to address the multiple barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged youth ages 16-24 years throughout the United States. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a Performance Based contract for Outreach and Admissions. The contract will have a 2-year base period January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2008 plus three (3) governmental unilateral renewal options for one (1) year each. The RFP will be available on our Job Corps Acquisition page located on the World Wide Web at http://wdsc.doleta.gov/jobcorps/schedule.html on or about March 7, 2005. The arrival goals for the state of North Carolina are 1787 youth annually, (986 residential males and 615 residential females) and (112 non- residential males and 74 non-residential females). A Pre-proposal Conference is scheduled for March 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street SW, Room 8M40, Atlanta, GA 30303, (404) 562-2372. It is recommended that potential offerors download the RFP from our Website listed above prior to attending the Pre-proposal. All questions prior to and at the pre-proposal conference shall be submitted in writing. The successful contractor shall provide material, services, and all necessary personnel to operate a Job Corps Outreach and Admissions program to provide a comprehensive approach to ensure that sufficient numbers of disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 and 24 are enrolled in specified Job Corps Centers. Proposals in response to the RFP will consist of an Oral Presentation and a written submission as described in Section L of the RFP. All written proposal submissions shall be due no later than April 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. local time to the address listed in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency.
