Description

DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE O N THE WEB ONLY. Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, has a competitive requirement, F.O.B destination, for the manufacture of a supply item to be delivered to Little Goose Dam, located on the Snake River in Columbia County, Washington. The contractor shall design, manufacture, test, and deliver one spare winding that will fit any one of nine main unit generators located in several powerhouses on the Lower Snake River. Generators 4, 5 and 6 for the Lower Snake River projects, including Little Goose, Lo wer Granite, and Lower Monumental Dams, were manufactured by General Electric Company and were brought on line in 1978, 1979, and 1981 respectively. They are vertical shaft, salient pole, air cooled (with air-to-water heat exchangers) units that are rated 142,210 KVA, 0.95 power factor, 13.8 kV, 5945 Amperes, 3-phase, 60 Hz, 90 rpm, and 115 percent overload capability. The stator core is 70 inches high and has 732 slots. The generator is designed for wye connection of the stator winding with four paralle ls per phase, for a total of 1464 Roebel bars. The rotor diameter is 37-10. THIS PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335312. The small business size standard is 1000 employees. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must p rovide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at http://www.ccr.gov. This is not a request for proposal, but notice that a solicitation will be issued for this requirement.
