Description: PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON Contractor will provide all labor, materials, supplies and equipment required to design and install all components of the heating and ventilation systems for the new Education Center at Tahoma Woods Administration site, Mount Rainier National Park. All work will be performed under a single contract. The Education Center is located 3 miles east of Elbe, WA. The building is slab on grade. Exterior walls are ARXX block construction. Interior walls are standard framed 2X4 walls. Installation work will be coordinated with Park crew, who will be undertaking the construction of the building. The heating fuel is propane. The main heating unit will be designed to supply space heating to the entire building, it will not provide domestic hot water. It must pe a propane-fired hot water ENERGY STAR rated boiler. The system shall be designed to accommodate in-floor radiant heating in two classrooms and Buderus Model 11 panel radiators in the other heated areas. Hot water heating distribution piping will be Wirsbo hePEX, with all fittings, brackets, manifolds and associated devices manufactured by Wirsbo. The ventilation system will be designed and installed to supply air to all seven heated zones. The system will supply fresh air at the rate stipulated by Washington State Code for classrooms.
