- The Fleet and Industrial Center, San Diego, Detachment Seal Beach intends to procure on a sole source basis, a high performance direct execution logic processor from SRC Computers, Inc., Colorado Springs, CO. The requirement is for MAPstation Model Number T221-04 with 4 port hi-bar switch and includes runtime and development license; software and hardware support for 1 year; GPIO Port, and monitor, keyboard and mouse package. A sole source procurement is necessary because SRC is the only manufacturer of a computer with reconfigurable architecture that can be programmed with the standard programming languages of C++ and FORTRAN. Award is to be made under simplified acquisition procedures using an oral request for quotation. Anticipated award date is 3/8/05. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
